In my years as a filmmaker, I wore a lot of hats.
I produced shoots, cast the perfect subjects, and ran sound in the field. I also conducted the ‘business’ that propelled my films. I fundraised, identified our film’s core audiences, created powerful partnerships, and coordinated national campaigns to screen and sell our work.
A few highlights:
I’ve produced four films: Roughing It: Mongolia, Diamond in the Dunes, Age of Champions, and America Lost
My work has broadcast on PBS nationally and been praised in outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, and NPR
I’ve raised over $900,000 in grants for my films during production
I’ve spearheaded a series of hybrid distribution campaigns, including a 20-state theatrical tour and grassroots screening campaign reaching over 3,000 communities
I’ve leveraged partnerships with advocacy groups like AARP and the Alzheimer’s Association and companies like Cigna Health to propel my film’s engagement campaign, which generated over $1.5 million
